A big thank you to everyone who supported our Christmas fundraising.
We were lucky to receive many donations from local Companies for raffle prizes and also donations and support from you. Our first prize of a food hamper was won by Hasnain’s mum.
The raffle raised £ 215.51 for the playgroup. We will be spending some of the money on new role play equipment.
Christmas Tree Competition
Again, thank you for your support and donations for this competition. Well done for all the entries. All the Christmas trees were so bright and unique! The competition was judged by Susan Lowes from Oxford Road Children’s Centre. Congratulations to Flo who won the competition.
School Placements
A reminder for all parents that the deadline for school applications is 16th January. Please see a member of staff for any help and support.
Helpers Rota.
We had some parents have joined in our session last half term but would love to have more, please sign up for the day you would like to join us. We recommend that you do not volunteer to help until your child is properly settled, usually after a term. The sheet is now on the board ready for you to indicate which day you would be willing to help.
Winter weather.
We would like to remind you that we take the children out to play daily for at least 10 minutes even if the weather is drizzly or cold . Please make sure you send your child with appropriate outdoor clothing and welly boots. We do not want the children to miss out on the learning opportunities we provide outside.
Please ensure that ALL items are clearly marked with your child’s name. It would also be helpful if all children could bring a named bag with a spare change of clothes, playgroup supplies are limited by storage space and do not fit all the children.
Over the holidays, the landlords supervised some tree surgeons to come and clear some over-hanging trees from our wooded area.
We are now happy to announce that the woodland area is back in use and the children are overjoyed.
